An apartment building in the form of a bridge, standing on two “bridgeheads”. The advantage to this solution lies in the wonderful views into the distance from the apartments and in the excellent light conditions due to the fact that the apartments are not very deep. Additionally, in the plinth zone, it proved possible to insert a very large glazed element for a special function (restaurant, bar, shop). An important factor in a newly built area like this. This is subsidised housing, a fact reflected by the size and layout of the residential units. Nevertheless a considerably variety of floor plan types is offered. At rooftop level tenants’ gardens (intensively planted) were laid out that are allotted to the individual apartments. On the levels below loggias and verandas provide comfortable outdoor spaces.
