The beach promenade is 3,300 metres long and is linked to a public green space up to 180 metres deep that is intensively used by the local population. T he goal of the design is to give this promenade a rhythm and to enhance it by public facilities that offer both instruction and entertainment. T he aim is to add “highlights” to the existing qualities, public magnets that might attract a qualified commercial infrastructure and further leisure facilities. All the proposals address the location on the water, on the shores of the Caspian S ea. T he high-point: a peninsula extending 200 metres into the sea. I t contains initially an information centre, restaurant facilities, shops and a jetty for a water bus. A bove all an opportunity is offered to reflect on the history and culture, nature and society, economy and ecology of the region – A zerbaijan is an oil-producing country. I n the aquarium you can look at the fish of the Caspian sea, in front is a gallery route that documents species already extinct. T here are two towers, one contains the resources museum, while in the other the first seaplane in the world, which started from here, is exhibited. Viewing terraces, restaurants, and a floating pool that forms a bridge to the Caspian S ea round off the amenities.
